• This half-day course at Mount Erie is designed to give beginners an introduction to the exciting world of rock climbing. Mount Erie offers a variety of climbing routes that are perfect for those who are new to the sport. The objective of this course is to teach basic climbing techniques, equipment handling, and safe climbing practices.

  • The adventure starts with a quick check-in and gear fitting, followed by a brief safety rundown. Participants then hike to the climbing area to learn basic climbing techniques and start some practice climbs. The main event includes taking turns climbing and belaying, guided by experienced instructors. A short snack break is provided before concluding the session with hands-on belaying lessons and a debrief. The day includes all necessary gear and instruction, with participants advised to bring athletic wear and extra water. The itinerary may adjust due to weather, and safety is always the top priority.
